One day I was laying down on the couch when I heard a woman scream. I wanted to help, so I got up. Then I heard a loud noise outside of my house. I opened the door, and I saw two people arguing. I wasn’t surprised because it’s a pretty normal thing in my neighborhood.
A man was yelling at a pregnant woman and the woman seemed to be crying. It reminded me of the old days between my mom and my dad and I got angry. Then I saw the man push the female away, so I told him, “What you doing?”
He seemed to be drunk. I called my brother to get some help. Then I pushed the man to the ground. I told him to get off the lady and don’t do nothing to her. My brother helped me. He got on top and he started fighting with my brother.
While my brother was beating him up, I took the woman to her car. I got her some water and told her to relax and that everything’s going to be okay. She thanked me in Spanish. I gave her some money.
When my brother finished fighting the man, I called the cops because people like him deserve to be arrested. It made me proud of myself for helping people in hard situations.
