In my head, the athlete that’s the best to me is the boxer, Floyd Mayweather. I find it weird that he is never in the conversation for best boxers ever because Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, and Canelo Álvarez are some of the best. I like all of them, but they have their own losses. Floyd beat Canelo when Canelo was in his prime, but when Floyd was not. In my opinion, that’s a record you can’t beat. Other sports legends have lost, but this legend is undefeated so far.
He still has one more fight against Connor McGregor. Connor himself is an MMA fighter, but he can fight in boxing even though that’s not his main thing. The fight will happen in 2023. I am for sure watching that go down.
When I started liking boxing for the first time I noticed we share some physical things like the right body form. That’s about it for that part.
About now, he’s never in the “talk” about the best boxer in history. “Money Mayweather” is not bad as a nickname for him. That jab he has is perfection to me – hard to block, all the sudden hard hits. A good punch in boxing is kind of what I was praised for by my coach. Having speed is a good starter.
Mayweather keeps it going undefeated. It’s impressive to me how he can keep at it for well over his career.
