I could change one problem in the world, it would be society. Why? you ask. Because social media has made it so that you’re not cool if you don’t fit the image that Instagram or Twitter has put out.
If you don’t have Vape or Jordans you’re broke or you don’t compete. So a lot of people put this mask on because who they are doesn’t fit the Instagram look or is not following the trend. It’s too many rules or should I say standards for our young people. And being on social media is hard for kids to be able to grow up the way they should grow up. Social media is changing people’s mindset of life.
Girls are wanting a BBL instead of becoming a nurse. Girls are not valued as they should be nor are they valuing themselves. Why is that? If you don’t have a pleasing body or a built body then you’re not pretty or bad. These days, girls’ main focus is fixing their body and not trying to find themselves as a person.
Let’s not talk about how some females feel if they have a baby that will make a man stay. It hurts my soul when females do that because it only affects the males in our community. They are forced to grow up even when they’re not ready. Our men, especially our young Black men, get trapped by women that rely on a baby to control a man or even their money.
A lot of young people use drugs to cope with their feelings. But that doesn’t help. If anything nine times out of ten, it increases the way they feel. It makes them get deeper into their thoughts or it could make them happy for the time the substances are in their body. But the moment it goes away their back to being depressed or anxious. That’s why a lot of kids take drugs. They love the rush it gives them. But that rush comes with a price. A lot of kids end up losing their life to drugs. Many kids right now are doing them. There is this new drug called fentanyl. Just a peck of sand dust is enough to kill you.
Fentanyl can be put into or should I say mixed with other drugs. Such as heroin, Coke, percs, zanny and even weed. I’ve personally lost a couple of friends from overdosing. So it goes to say that’s what I would change about our society.
