Everything Comes Full Circle

by JC

My point of view on life is that whatever you give into this world, comes full circle, right back to you. Now, it may not come directly to you, it may come to a loved one or someone around you. Think about it. I’ll give you some examples.

Let’s say you’re in the store and the lady in front of you is short on cash and you step up and pay for her. It’ll probably make you feel good and probably make her day. Now, in some point in time in your life, it could be you or someone close to you that might go into the store or fast food place or something like that, and they might get something for free, or somebody might pay for their stuff.

It seems small right, now let’s go to the other side. Let’s say you got a problem with somebody or maybe you in a gang and you see somebody you don’t like. Now, let’s say you shoot at them. I can guarantee somebody close to you, or even you will be shot at and maybe even killed.

Think about it. Now look, it’s a story about a kid. He lives in New York, his family is so poor they can’t afford for him to go to school. So he goes out and instead of robbing someone, or hitting a lick, he went and sat on the corner and sold fruits. You guys ever see people selling fruit?

Well, that’s what he did, and he did it every day for twelve hours a day. Sometimes, he would make no money and sometimes he’d make two dollars. And he does this every day for months and months. And he’s only saved up like fifty dollars. One day, he’s sitting out there in the summertime.

It’s so hot, the heat is blasting down on him. He’s hungry and thirsty, but he really wants something to eat. He’s so hungry, he decides that he’s going to ask somebody in the neighborhood for something to eat.

He knocks on the first door, nobody answers. He knocks on the second door, nobody answers. He knocks on the third door, and a young girl his age answers the door and she’s pretty. Now, he doesn’t want to make himself look bad, so he just asks for a glass of water.

The girl comes back with a glass of milk and says, “my mom said to get you milk, it will get you more full,” so he drinks it and now he’s back to selling fruit. Fast forward fifteen years, the man now lives in Miami and is a doctor.

A patient comes in one day and they can’t figure out what’s wrong, so they call hm down. He starts reading her files and turns out she’s the girl from New York. He devotes all of his time into saving her and he does save her. Now, she’s left with a big bill. He tells them to give him the bill.

He pays for it and writes “all this for a glass of milk.” Now the point of this story shows kindness could take you far, but it’s all about what you put into this world. It don’t matter how small or how big, we all are connected, we are all a part of the cycle.

Do you think his life could have been different if he would get money in an illegal way? Do you think that girl expected to get something back from giving him some milk? When you do things without expecting something in return, it’s a good feeling. And that is what we need more of.

You don’t get mad when you don’t get something if you weren’t expecting it in the first place. I feel that if we all just gave a little more, we would receive a whole lot more. I hope this inspires you to go and try it for yourself. Remember, we’re all a part of the cycle.
