As Mother’s Day gets closer and closer, it makes me even more excited about getting out so I can go see her. It’s been over two years since I last saw her, and she was crying because I was leaving.
She was crying because she was sad that day. Hopefully, when I see her again, if she’s crying, it’ll be because she’s happy. My mom has done so much for me. I don’t know how I could ever even begin to repay her for all her love, support, and nourishment. She hasn’t just done a lot for me, but for my siblings as well.
She’s taught us a lot about how to treat others and other people. She always taught me a lot about respecting women and always told me she never wanted me to end up like my dad and uncles. But there I go effing up anyway. I have so much respect for my mom because she did everything for us and she did it all by herself.
Some people like to say if you make mistakes and get locked up or something along those lines, that it’s your mom’s or your parents’ fault because they didn’t raise you right. But that’s not true at all. It’s because of the choices you made and the things you believed.
