Are we judged in life? I say we are, they look down on us for mistakes young people do. That’s not right in my way, nobody should in anyway. We’re still kids. Sometimes we forget about it because the system gives us time that makes us think we ain’t kids no more.
The only punishment we should get is by the ones who care for us and love us not the system. The system judges us, they could care less about us and have no hope in us. We give up on things. It’s no more happiest being judge it holds onto you. No one can see it, not even you. Sometimes deep down inside you know what’s wrong, you see what’s been putting you down. You’re so focus on probation so you don’t be judged but even your probation officer judges you. They tell us they are there to help us but what help are we getting? Nothing but being judged.
I realize a lot of things, this same policeman always seeing I’m doing it’s been four years he still trying get me for anything he can. I’m tired of everything. They look at my record and judge me for little mistakes I made in the past. It’s sad to say it that I’m about be seventeen and been judged since age thirteen and it’s never have changed for me. They don’t see us as the rest of the kids. We’re no different from anyone else. We do got a record but we didn’t hurt anyone. If we don’t regret it to they don’t know nothing about us but our record that’s all they know. They don’t know the nights we go to sleep crying, thinking about everything, regretting all of it, not having our loved one next to us they care and love us and believe in us, that we are not bad people. They are not judging us like the system does.
I know so many of us wish they weren’t judged either. It hurts a lot of us it’s not right we all deserve to be the same and treated the same as a normal kid instead of locking us away and taking us out of the community and taking us away from our loved ones. They should see why kids are making the mistakes they are making and help them out to not be making the choices they made and move on from the past instead of judging them by the past and things they got into we are not bad kids we don’t need jail. We need to be told by our loved ones and be heard out. We don’t get to be heard out, just locked up for a long time.
