- Who am I?
I am a man, a grandson, a son, a brother, a father who is blessed with many talents and gifts. I am an artist and designer. A leader whose direction is only just begun. I am a traveler of both time and space. I am a dreamer with a lack of sleep. I am both the end of my past and the beginning of my future. I am inspiration. I am the pupil of all of life’s lessons.
2. Why am I here?
I am here for every opportunity to learn how to love, forgive, heal, grow, and live a healthy existence free of suffering. I am here to make amends, to improve my quality of life, in the repairing what has been broken with the wounds some too deep to see, by changing the way I think. I am here to learn from the poor choices I’ve made throughout my life, so that I don’t repeat them.
3. What am I doing?
I am taking advantage of (question) #2, that is why I am here. I am trusting in my community to help me identify any behaviors not in perspective with my goals of self-improvement. I am learning to use patience, tolerance, and self-control, keeping my emotions in check. I am learning to be more forgiving and to live more compassionately. I am taking inventory of each moment as to not miss any blessing it may carry. I am embracing my suffering and being truly grateful, appreciating it’s lesson and the growth it brings. I am growing, and learning to do so with maturity.
4. Who is influencing my life?
Ha, that’s a good one! Time influences my life. Everything that is within it and everything that is lacking to be within it is influential to my life and the way I live. Any interaction with a person a place or an item, or even just the thought of, is influential to how or what I think or feel. I am creating a new way of living in my mind and heart, to draw on the positive for help in learning from the negative influences. Creating from experience, blueprints to my desired reality, so that my past will influence each moment, celebrating the future with every opportunity.
5. What do they have me feeling?
I am a believer that a feeling is an internal interpretation of a thought. My thoughts are mine and therefor in my control. How I feel is up to me to decide with practicing self-control.
6. What do they have me looking at?
At this stage of my life, my spiritual growth and physical health are the most important aspects of my existence, therefore everything I look at must be a direct reflection of how I see myself, how I think and how I react to the thoughts, looking at this moment at my past can finally show me my future and what is needed to get there.
